Dr. Yasin Anwar

Dr. Yasin Anwar is a physician and public health specialist with five years of experience spanning hospital-based clinical care and humanitarian health services. He holds an MBBS from Shaheed Monsur Ali Medical College & Hospital and a Master of Public Health (Reproductive & Child Health) from Northern University Bangladesh, alongside postgraduate training (PGT) in both Medicine and Cardiology.
He currently serves as Medical Officer, Cardiology with IOM-UN Migration at the 250-Bed District Sadar Hospital, Cox's Bazar, where he has diagnosed and managed over 8,000 patients with cardiac emergencies across both host and FDMN (Rohingya) communities. His clinical work includes emergency cardiac management—DC shock, CPR, venesection—and comprehensive management of cardiovascular, respiratory, and acute medical cases in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Across NGO and INGO postings, Dr. Yasin has built deep experience in humanitarian healthcare delivery, non-communicable disease management, and clinical capacity-building, having conducted and moderated CME sessions on hypertension, myocardial infarction, ECG interpretation, and heart failure. He is a peer-reviewed published researcher and holds certifications from WHO, DGHS, and IOM in COVID-19 management, infection prevention and control, and NCD interventions.
